Americans for the Art Search Committee – Chief Executive Officer
Dear AFTA Community,
As Co-Chairs of the Search Committee, we are pleased to provide an update on the search for the next Chief Executive Officer of Americans for the Arts (AFTA).
Koya Partners has continued their diligent work in identifying and recruiting candidates, keeping the Search Committee informed throughout the process. To date, over 135 expressions of interest have been received. Koya is thoroughly vetting each candidate through resume reviews, phone conversations, and/or Zoom interviews.
We are encouraged by the continued interest from across the country, with candidates representing diverse geographic regions:
Koya and the Search Committee have been meeting regularly to calibrate and discuss the evolving candidate pool and search process.
Interview Stage and Next Steps
The search is progressing on schedule and has advanced to the interview stages. In November, the committee conducted a virtual first round of interviews. A select group of candidates moved on to a second round of virtual interviews held the first week of December. A third round of in-person interviews will also take place in December.
Confidentiality remains critical at this stage, so while we cannot share specific details, we look forward to providing an update as soon as possible.
